A Trusted Fighter Against Nursing Home Abuse in Alabama

J.P. is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. We feel it’s his quiet sense of compassion and dedication that really resonates with his clients. He truly takes their personal struggles to heart, and often builds lasting relationships with those he’s represented.

It was during his 9-year tenure as a partner at the Beasley Allen Law Firm that J.P. first developed a passion for practicing wrongful death and personal injury law. However, closest to his heart has always been representing those that have been abused or neglected by the very nursing homes that were entrusted to care for them.

J.P.’s commitment to fighting for some of society’s most vulnerable members remains unwavering despite laws governing nursing home litigation becoming increasingly complex and difficult to navigate. In 2009 he was co-lead counsel in a landmark case for “resident’s rights” that resulted in a 4.75 million dollar settlement against a major nursing home chain.

Outside of work, J.P. continues his passion for helping others through his mission trips and is actively involved with Forgotten Children’s Ministry in Honduras.

At home, J.P. enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Keely, coaching daughter Ella in tennis, or taking in a day of fishing with his twin sons; Brack and Lint.
