J.P. has a sense of compassion and dedication that really resonates with his clients. He truly takes their personal struggles to heart, and often builds lasting relationships with those he represents. He often says that people come to the firm as “clients” and leave as “friends.”
Early in his career, J.P. developed a passion for representing individuals and family members who had been affected by severe personal injuries and wrongful death. “Many of my clients have suffered catastrophic, life-altering injuries, and many times death. There is no greater work than coming alongside them to fight to help them regain their lives”, he says.
J.P. is particularly passionate about representing those that have been abused or neglected by nursing homes that were entrusted to care for them. J.P.’s commitment to fighting for some of society’s most vulnerable members remains unwavering despite laws governing nursing home litigation becoming increasingly complex and difficult to navigate.
He was co-lead counsel in a landmark case in Arkansas for “resident’s rights” that resulted in a $4.75 million settlement against a major nursing home chain. J.P. has been named one of the Top 10 Nursing Home Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Association and a Super Lawyer in the field of Medical Malpractice.
Outside of work, J.P. continues his passion for helping others through his involvement with Common Ground Montgomery and Forgotten Children’s Ministry in Honduras. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Keely and their three children.

Allison Ankrum

Outside of work, Allison enjoys watching college football (especially the Tennessee Vols!) and spending time with her family.
Allison is the proud mother of five boys, and she is a devoted military spouse.
Macey Cothern
Paralegal
Macey Cothern is originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and relocated to the Wiregrass area while her husband attends Army flight training at Fort Rucker. She has experience assisting clients through all stages of personal injury litigation and is passionate about advocating for individuals and families in challenging periods.
Outside of work, Macey enjoys spending time with her family and her beagle, Gus. She also enjoys traveling, movie nights, collecting vinyl records, and listening to classic oldies and jazz music.

Common Ground Montgomery (CGM)
This group is dedicated to helping youth in Montgomery who lack the means to fully realize their potential. CGM is a non-denominational Christian group that serves the community in helping these children beat the odds against such obstacles as family instability, rising crime in their neighborhoods, and few city resources for assistance.
CGM helps build the leaders of tomorrow through developmental programs and long-term mentorship. It focuses on transforming neighborhoods by teaching the principles of unity and change.
Forgotten Children Ministries
(FCM)
This Christian organization is dedicated to rescuing the street children of Honduras who have been abandoned and forgotten. FCM provides food, shelter, clothing, and medical attention as well as long-term nurture, education, and vocational training to give these kids a future.
The mission of this group is founded on Christian scripture, quality education, vocational skills, and increasing life opportunities through learning basic English.
